Mohamed Salah: Liverpool injury breaks Twitter in Real Madrid Champions League final clash
MOHAMED SALAH'S injury has appeared to crash Twitter with the Liverpool star out of the rest of their Champions League final with Real Madrid.
Liverpool and Real Madrid are currently in action in the Champions League final.
Salah, however, has been forced to go off after a colission with Real centre-back Sergio Ramos.
The Liverpool talisman was seen leaving the pitch in tears, with Adam Lallana coming on in his place.
The injury means Salah will not be able to add to his 44-goal haul for the campaign.
And it appeared to be too much for Twitter to handle, with the social media site crashing just seconds afterwards.
Meanwhile, journalist Phil McNulty thinks Liverpool need to clear their heads following Salah's injury.
"The departure of Mo Salah is a devastating blow for Liverpool - they must now ensure this does not effect them after that fine start," he said.
"Liverpool fans have now cast Sergio Ramos as the villain of the piece.
"Ferocious jeering when his face appeared on the big screen."
BT commentator Darren Fletcher said: “Well he’s in tears down there, Mo Salah.
“It’s reminiscent to the scenes we saw in the European Championship final when Ronaldo had to leave the field for Portugal.
“He was so important on the way to the final.
“Sadio Mane there to consol Mo Salah, and Adam Lallana will be given the opportunity here in the final of the Champions League.”
Mohamed Salah injury: Liverpool star’s agent takes Sergio Ramos swipe
MOHAMED SALAH’s agent has appeared to take a swipe at Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos as he spoke of the Liverpool winger’s confidence of being fit for the World Cup.
The Egyptian international’s maiden season at Anfield ended on a sour note as he was forced off in tears after half-an-hour of Saturday’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Salah went over heavily on his shoulder after a tangle of arms with Ramos, who many blamed for the incident and accused him of intentionally looking to injure Salah.
Jurgen Klopp bemoaned the grapple as “like wrestling a little bit” and called it “a harsh challenge”.
The Spaniard further enraged Liverpool supporters by making the most of several minor clashes with Reds players throughout the final, while he also seemingly elbowed Loris Karius in the face off of the ball.
And Salah’s agent - who confirmed that the player remains hopeful of making Egypt’s first World Cup since 1990 - appears to have criticised Ramos’ provoking play-acting.
Abbas Issa said on Salah via Twitter: “Now, he's confident he'll make it, and that should do it.
“He doesn't act, doesn't put on a show. He goes down only when he can't physically stand.
Now, he's confident he'll make it, and that should do it. He doesn't act, doesn't put on a show. He goes down only when he can't physically stand. He does not give up, he fights. This is the man you love. This is your hero. This is Mohamed. -

“He does not give up, he fights. This is the man you love. This is your hero. This is Mohamed.”
In a series of tweets, Abbas Issa called it the "toughest 24 hours of my life".
Reports on Salah’s fitness have proven contrasting so far over the 44-goal attacker’s hopes of being declared fit for the World Cup - with Egypt’s first game on June 15 against Uruguay.
The Egyptian Football Association declared that they were confident Salah would be fit on social media, as the 26-year-old tweeted similarly himself yesterday.
Salah said: “I'm a fighter. Despite the odds, I'm confident that I'll be in Russia to make you all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need.”
That was after Klopp called the problem “very serious” in the aftermath of the defeat in Kiev, with initial reports suspecting a dislocation which would have ruled him out of Russia.
Egypt’s Group A campaign sees them face Uruguay, hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia with a fit-and-firing Salah - who scored the stoppage-time penalty to seal Egypt’s qualification back in October - a major difference-maker.
